Southern Oregon’s own bluegrass ensemble, The Rosa Lees, have initiated a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to finance their debut album. Known for their harmonious blend of traditional bluegrass, old-time, and roots music, the all-female quartet aims to capture their distinctive sound in a professionally produced record.
The Rosa Lees comprise four talented musicians:
- Jessie Monter: Fiddle
- Holly Hurley: Bass
- Rachel Buklad: Banjo and fiddle
- Bekkah McAlvage: Guitar
Their music is characterized by striking harmonies and deft instrumentation, drawing inspiration from bluegrass pioneers like Hazel Dickens and Alice Gerrard. The band’s repertoire seamlessly blends elements of traditional bluegrass with old-time fiddle and banjo tunes, classic country, and gospel.

The Indiegogo campaign seeks to raise funds for the recording, mixing, mastering, and production of their album. Supporters can pre-order the album and choose from a variety of perks.
The Rosa Lees have graced numerous stages, including the Oregon Shakespeare Festival Green Show and the Klamath Folk Festival, earning accolades for their dynamic performances and engaging stage presence.
