Currently seeking writers for the following:

- Contribute news stories about independent music
- Contribute news stories about independent events
- Contribute news stories about various types of independent art
- Independent Movie Reviews
- Independent Book Reviews
- Independent Event Reviews
- Interviews with various people involved in Independent Art & Media
- Occasional mainstream stories & celebrity interviews.
Also seeking writers to contribute their own columns. Subjects could include:
- Movie maker tips, tricks and resources
- Music industry tips, tricks and resources
- Book Publishing tips, tricks and resources
- Creative Marketing for the Independent Artist
- Artist tips, tricks and resources
- OR PITCH US YOUR OWN IDEA FOR A COLUMN!
BFM is a non-sponsored publication, for that reason we are not able to offer any financial compensation outside of free advertising on the website at this time. Taking on a position as a staff writer / intern does have its benefits however. Some colleges require internships, you collect a lot of free media when you review them, you get free access to events with press passes, you make many awesome contacts in the various types of entertainment industries and you get to be a direct part of something designed to help independent arts!
Requirements: A desire & time to contribute a minimum one story a month, a basic understanding of a WordPress blog site and a passion for independent art.
