Breaking Fate Entertainment has officially announced the full cast and crew for its upcoming horror short film, Monster Attraction. Slated to begin production in late May 2025, the film will make its world premiere at the 2025 Dark Art and Oddities Con, taking place this November in DeKalb, Illinois.

A twisted, genre-bending tale that fuses psychological horror with dark humor and provocative themes, Monster Attraction is the latest creative collaboration between Breaking Fate Entertainment President Willy Adkins and independent filmmaker Domenic Migliore. The two will serve as co-directors, co-producers, and co-writers on the project, bringing together their unique visions and love for offbeat horror.

Leading the cast is Amanda Trumbull, an actress and model traveling from New Orleans to portray Casey, the film’s central character. Her haunting screen presence and emotional depth are expected to anchor the story and captivate audiences. Joining her is Colin Gorman, who not only portrays Andrew, but also co-wrote the script. Gorman, known for his YouTube channel Colin LooksBack, brings a quirky and obsessive lens to both his writing and performance.

Also featured is Anita Nicole Brown as Tasha, a passionate performer and proud Type One Diabetic who proves that nothing—especially not chronic illness—can hold her back from pursuing her creative passions. Chris May, a tattoo artist, comedian, and Ink Master Season 3 alum, takes on the role of Frank, adding an unpredictable and edgy flavor to the ensemble.

Horror filmmaker and Cheevies Film Productions founder Derek Braasch steps in front of the camera as Jeff, while seasoned horror actress and FX makeup artist Heather Harlow portrays Alex. Harlow brings with her an impressive résumé of over 50 screen credits, including Torture the Flesh and Cheerleader Camp Elimination. Rounding out the cast are Kalin Elizabeth Daniel as Rachel, a musician-turned-pre-law student returning to her creative roots, and David Bates as Enzo, the mysterious wildcard of the film. Bates, a sideshow performer and frontman of Chicago shock rock band Sinister Fate, is no stranger to theatrical chaos.

Behind the scenes, Monster Attraction boasts a passionate and experienced crew. Photography will be handled by Mikka Adkins of Angelic Beings Photography, capturing production stills and behind-the-scenes moments. Kirk Larson, a rising talent in indie film sound work, returns to set as the film’s production sound recordist, while Becky Lange, Vice President of Breaking Fate Entertainment, will serve as both Gaffer and Associate Producer.

With a cast that balances fresh faces and genre veterans, and a crew rooted in DIY passion and creative authenticity, Monster Attraction is shaping up to be one of Breaking Fate’s boldest short films yet. Shot entirely in Northern Illinois, the project embodies the spirit of grassroots horror: inventive, intense, and proudly independent.

Fans of horror and underground cinema can catch the world premiere of Monster Attraction at the 2025 Dark Art and Oddities Con, held November 15–16 at NIU’s historic Altgeld Hall.
