Rockford, Illinois-based folk/Americana duo The Lone Canary has announced a Kickstarter campaign to fund their upcoming album, Dime Store Horses. Comprised of musicians Jesse Fox and Heather Camacho, the duo is known for their haunting harmonies and evocative storytelling.
Formed in June 2014, The Lone Canary emerged from the collaboration of Fox, a solo artist since 2008, and Camacho, who had occasionally performed with him. Their perfectly matched voices and acoustic, rootsy sound have drawn comparisons to legendary folk artists.
Dime Store Horses is described as the duo’s most personal and ambitious album yet. The project aims to deliver a raw, heartfelt collection of songs that reflect their growth as artists and storytellers.
The Kickstarter campaign offers supporters various rewards, including digital downloads, CDs, vinyl records, and exclusive merchandise. Backers will play a crucial role in bringing this project to life, helping to cover production costs and ensure the album reaches a wider audience.
Fans and new listeners alike are encouraged to support The Lone Canary’s endeavor and be part of their musical journey.
